I read the great reviews on Yelp, and heard from my friends that this was the place to have breakfast in Gold Beach. So glad we are there today!! Super friendly place, and fantastic, home-cooked foods. I wouldn't say it was "divey", but I would say it has that "Small town diner" feel. Great coffee...and that's from an Oregon "Coffee Snob". Sometimes, you just want a good 'ol Cup of Joe. Everything we ordered was so good. Seriously the best veggie omelet I've ever had! I was also able to take home half of my plate for breakfast tomorrow. Huge portion sizes. Perfect hash browns, and a biscuit the way my Grandma made them. We will most-certainly be back when we are in this area again. Five stars for the food, service and coffee. Great Diner!

Affordable, no bells and whistles. But simple yummy food. The biscuits were so fluffy, and the owner was a sweetie!

Great family diner. BEWARE of portion sizes; my wife and I could've easy split one plate. The cook was nice enough to make a Mickey pancake for my 2 yr-old. The Spanish omelet was great.

We have been staying in Gold Beach for some time now and have had several great choices for breakfast. My favorite is the Denver omelette. I have had this meal several times and have never been disappointed. Friday I had the daily special which was Fish & Chips. (look for a picture) It was the best Fish & Chips that my wife & I have found here along the coast. The service as always was super friendly and prompt even thought the restaurant was packed. Today we overheard the cooks signing in the kitchen. This is a very family friendly place.

Staying in town for a few days and did a Yelp search and this restaurant came up. The biscuits and gravy are out of this world, but the true winner for me is the hash browns and sausage patty! Eggs perfectly cooked! The staff is fun and friendly and it is very clean and just a fun place to go for breakfast. So good we are coming back for breakfast tomorrow!!!! So good! Everything from the pancakes to the club sandwiches that came out of the kitchen looked amazing!!!! Must try!

Great food, but not very accommodating when asked for an egg white omelet for my high cholesterol husband. They said they are too busy to do that.

My husband and I dropped in on our way through town. We both ordered the biscuits and gravy plus and shared a side of breakfast sausage. YUM. The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy not too salty. The hash browns were perfectly browned. The service was also very friendly and on point! Eat here if you're in town!

Just the place I was looking for. Cheep and tasty. I recommend stoping here if you're really hungry and traveling cross country like myself.

Our favorite breakfast place on the southern Oregon coast - we stop in at least twice a year on our trips up the coast. We have had their oatmeal a few times and it's the best we've had at any restaurant. Their egg dishes are also very good, but the reason we return is the friendly service by both D and D - nicest people you'll ever meet.

I had ordered eggs benedict and a belgium waffle, when my eggs benedict arrived it looked really good.....but looks can be deceiving, I started eating my eggs benedict and I got the over powering taste of lemon from the hollandaise sauce that made me screw my face up, I ate a few more bites and then I got a burnt taste in my mouth....the ham was burnt. The hollandaise ended up seperating, and one of my eggs was cooked not poached:-( it was a disappointment.... I was not happy when my belgium waffle arrived it was plain.......I expected it to have whip cream and strawberries like a belgium waffle should have, instead it came with syrup....I was not impressed...all in all I givee today's breakfast a 2 out of 5 stars.

Had breakfast here towards the beginning of a long road. Food was really good and the service was the best. The waitresses work really hard, yet have a great attitude. Be sure to tip them well! I had a 2-egg veggie omelet. Delicious!

Great service and good all American breakfast. Pancakes are huge. Bacon crispy and scrambled eggs ok.

Stopped for breakfast and had a very good experience. The staff was nice and helpful. The waitress recommended a sausage patty instead of links and she was right. Eggs, sausage and hash browns, a good tasting meal. My wife had an omelet which she enjoyed quite a bit. This is a place where the locals come in, grab a cup of coffee, hug the waitress and sit down. All in all a solid 3 plus experience. We will be back.

The best breakfast in a long time. Love their signature sausage. Great friendly service.

No substitutions. $5.20 for a side of bacon. Fries are terribly soggy. Service is short and rude. Definitely a pass. There are lots of better places in town.

Stopped in for breakfast after a long morning of playing in tide pools. The staff was amazing! The food was so so good and the prices were great! Since we left of vacation this is the best place we have eaten! Superb customer service and they were even short staffed!

This place is open only for breakfast and lunch. Word on the street is..... BREAKFAST! I went for breakfast. Ordered the vege omelet. It came with hash browns and English muffin. HOLY COW! The omelet was HUGE and include a generous helping of tomatoes, mushrooms, avacado, onion, cheese and whatever else. That omelet was so huge I could have made a meal of it only and didn't need the hash browns and English muffin. As a college friend of mine would say: "That's definitely a 3 omm egglette." (Yes, I said that on purpose, figure it out.) Very good. I wouldn't say world class haute' cuisine good, but good homey good. I'm hesitant to call restaurants "divey" but I would call this one "kitch-y divey." I came here in a rental car. You could get an RV in ONLY, and ONLY if there aren't many other cars in the lot. But, then you would have a problem turning around to leave. I came here in a rental car.

We almost walked out because the whole place smelled like a really gross bathroom, but we were so hungry. My husband's meal was undercooked. Mine was pretty good. Get an omelette!

I've had breakfast here and it was ok, but the last time I went for lunch I ordered a french dip. It was horrible. The bun was just cheap buns from the grocery store, the meat on it was the cheapest possible, processed lunch meat and the cheese wasn't even real cheese, it was processed crap. The au jus tasted like it came from a can and was way too salty. It was nasty and I will never go back. The only positive is that the people there are pretty nice. But they need to buy real food instead of all that cheap, processed crap.

This is a great "locals" diner. If you want biscuits and gravy, bacon & eggs, French Toast. ... this is the place. (If you're looking for spinach frittata or gluten-free options... keep moving along) Helpful service, good diner breakfast! Would definitely come back!

Found this place as we were driving down the coast looking for food. This place is delicious and real people. If you are looking for large food portions, real food, and people that are natural in their environment here is the place!! Super home feeling, but expect anything else!

When a cafe has excellent quality bacon, it says something about their commitment to excellence. The food was awesome and the bacon was fantastic! Everything was fresh and made from scratch. Hash browns, french fries... everything. That's something you don't find everywhere. The owner and his daughter were friendly, polite and the service was great. The decor is dated and shabby, but really... who cares? It was very clean, warm and inviting and the food was excellent and fairly priced. I don't know what that other reviewer was talking about... they had butter when I was there.

Really nice waitstaff. I got an omelette with chili and cheese for $9. Only coffee is folgers, yuk, especially for Oregon. Food wasn't bad, wasn't anything to write home about either. Not much else to describe other than its a breakfast joint in podunk Oregon coast, belly fuel for your road trip. 2.5 stars.

Unlike Indian Creek Cafe, the staff here wasn't very friendly. Kind of short and a little impersonal...well, at least with me. Friendly as all git-up with the regular patrons though. Perhaps it was because I was the only one in there sporting an L.A. Dodgers cap... or maybe because I was the only one in there sporting dark skin, dark hair and dark eyes? I don't know. The food was pretty bland. I eat Paleo style but I allowed myself to cheat a little being that I'm on an 800 mile road trip. I regret cheating on my diet. It wasn't worth it. Don't mean to be mean, but this is what my experience was like here. I'd say go the extra mile and head up to Indian Creek Cafe. Much better.

We went to Double D's for our first breakfast in Gold Beach. The simple decor is an indication of where the owners put their emphasis -- on the food! Great coffee. Which is one of the secrets of a great breakfast place. We both had two-egg omelets and we're glad we did (rather than the three eggs) -- they were HUGE and really stuffed with our selections. I loved the hash browns, which were very home made and super tasty. Service was super efficient and was never without a smile. A really great find and we have already planned our orders for our next visit!

Stopped here after reading Yelp reviews and a long drive looking for a good breakfast. We were both ready for breakfast but after reading the menu, my husband opted for the Friday lunch special -fish and chips. If you're there on a Friday get the fish & chips, you won't be disappointed! We live in SF Bay Area and it's surprisingly difficult to find good seafood, even fish & chips! This was the best we've had in a long time! I had the biscuits and gravy which was good too. The staff was great! Very warm and welcoming. Great table awareness. If I lived in the area I could see myself coming here on a regular basis! Definitely a place the locals frequent which is what we look for when visiting new towns. If you're looking for "egg beaters" or tofu and cafe latte, move on - this is real food for real people! For those coffee snobs out there, FYI Folgers is the #1 selling brand in the US. Will definitely stop here again when traveling through Oregon.

Friendly owner/server and the other owner is a great fry cook. Great eggs, home style fried potatoes, and the patty sausage was to die for. Loved it, loved it, loved it! Decor is coastal shabby chic but check out the framed casino winnings check....it was the seed money for the cafe...great back story.

I just have a thing for employees smoking right outside the front door when you are entering the place. See the cooks smoking then knowing they are preparing your meal, icky! Very local place right on the main drag as part of a converted motel. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast. Beside a couple locals we where the only people in the place. The food was okay (don't think about the cooks) and service was fair. The serve spent most of her time talking up the locals. If you want a taste of local Gold Beach and the people that make up the town's fabric, then this might be your place.

Average food but very colorful employees and customers. It's not everyday that the waitress starts singing Janis Joplins "Mercedes Benz".
